MacGyver
When I was studying computer programming I was called MacGyver, possibly my haircut at the time.

The television series MacGyver follows the intelligent, optimistic, laid-back, resourceful secret agent Angus MacGyver, played by Richard Dean Anderson. He prefers a non-violent resolution to fighting where possible, and refuses to use a gun. MacGyver works as a trouble shooter for the fictional 'Phoenix Foundation' in Los Angeles. Educated as a scientist with a background as a Bomb Team Technician/EOD in Vietnam ("Countdown"), and from a fictional United States government agency, the Department of External Services (DXS), he is used as a resourceful agent able to solve a range of problems along with his ever-present duct tape and Swiss Army knife.*

I see a lot of similarities between MacGyver and the work that I do. Sometimes the situations are tricky, there is huge pressure to deliver and figure out what is going on while keeping a cool head. It is often hard for people under intense pressure to have the correct perspective to make good decisions. Through executive coaching and scenario planning sessions, clients are able to step back, understand what exactly is going on and engage in a more effective manner.
